South Africa’s most iconic national park

Next

This world-famous wildlife stronghold is now part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Peace Park that also includes the adjoining Gonarezhou and Limpopo national parks in Zimbabwe and Mozambique respectively. Covering nearly 20,000 sq km of sub-tropical lowveld, the Kruger is home to more than 500 bird species and 147 mammals – more than any other African park. If your aim is guaranteed animal sightings, including of the ‘Big Five’, with a minimum of hassle, Kruger is an excellent destination.
