Ultimate paradise
Finding where to stay in Zanzibar can be a daunting task, with everything there is to see, do, and taste, you’ll want to stay somewhere close to all the action. The design of Kilindi is unique and quite different from properties found elsewhere in Zanzibar – endless curving pale cream walls and stunning sea views are a key feature. It has a very calming ambiance and you instantly find yourself relaxing and unwinding when you arrive here.
Leave undisturbed for a few days and you will have concocted the ultimate in luxury escapism on the magical tropical island of Zanzibar – at Elewana’s Kilindi Zanzibar.
This tranquil sanctuary has established a reputation as the top hideaway in Zanzibar. Set among 50 acres of tropical lush gardens and overlooking a pristine private beach and bay.
Fifteen Eastern-inspired domed pavilions are private sanctuaries, each overlooking the kaleidoscopic colours of the Indian Ocean. Each pavilion enjoys a spacious double suite with shuttered windows opening out onto a personal plunge pool flanked by sunbeds on a private verandah. Adjoined by a walk way, a luxurious bathroom boasts a refreshing rainfall shower. All areas of the pavilion are designed to evoke the “back-to- nature” feel, with wide windows and an open-faced design to capture the ocean breezes, and to let guests drink in the view.
Food and Dining Experience
Hundreds of years of trading in spices, such as nutmeg, cinnamon and saffron, has shaped the rich and varied culinary flavours of the island, with influences from Europe, the Middle East and China. Dining is a personal affair at Kilindi Zanzibar, and each pavilion is served by a personal butler, who will offer you breakfast, lunch and dinner in a wide range of awe-inspiring locations, so each meal makes new and unique memories.
Highlights
- A cascading water bar overlooking a large 25 metre infinity pool.
- Each Pavilion is set in its own tropical garden and served by a dedicated Butler.
- Kilindi was originally designed for Benny Andersson, famed for being a member of 1970’s pop group ABBA.
- One of Zanzibar’s top beach hotels.

The pavilions are very spread out and strategically placed among the foliage, allowing for complete privacy.
